How to Swap Tokens on DiviSwap

Introduction

Swapping tokens is the most basic and common operation on DiviSwap. This tutorial will guide you through the process of swapping one token for another using DiviSwap's intuitive interface.

Step 1: Navigate to the Swap Page

Start by visiting the DiviSwap website and clicking on the "Swap" tab in the navigation menu. This will take you to the swap interface.

Step 2: Select the Tokens to Swap

On the swap interface, you'll see two token selection boxes:

• From: The token you want to swap from (sell)
• To: The token you want to swap to (buy)

Click on either box to open the token selection menu. You can search for tokens by name or address, or select from the list of popular tokens.

Step 3: Enter the Amount to Swap

After selecting your tokens, enter the amount you want to swap in the "From" field. The estimated amount you'll receive will automatically be calculated and displayed in the "To" field.

You can also click "MAX" to swap your entire balance of the selected token.

Step 4: Review Swap Details

Before proceeding, review the swap details displayed below the input fields:

• Price: The exchange rate between the two tokens
• Price Impact: How much your swap will affect the market price
• Minimum Received: The minimum amount you'll receive after slippage
• Slippage Tolerance: The maximum price change you're willing to accept

Step 5: Approve Token (If Needed)

If this is your first time swapping a particular token, you'll need to approve DiviSwap to use that token. Click the "Approve" button and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Note that approval is a separate transaction that requires gas fees. You only need to approve each token once.

Step 6: Execute the Swap

Once you've reviewed the details and approved the token (if necessary), click the "Swap" button to execute the transaction. Confirm the transaction in your wallet when prompted.

Step 7: Transaction Confirmation

After confirming the transaction, you'll see a confirmation message once the swap is complete. The newly acquired tokens will appear in your wallet.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Transaction Failed

If your transaction fails, it could be due to:

• Insufficient gas fees
• High slippage in a volatile market
• Insufficient token allowance

Try increasing your slippage tolerance or reducing the swap amount.

Token Not Showing in Wallet

If you don't see the newly acquired tokens in your wallet, you may need to add the token to your wallet's display list. Most wallets have an option to "Add Token" where you can paste the token's contract address.
